Kosmik Brands Recognizes the Importance of Black History Month

We're not just about cannabis- we're about community! That's why we're recognizing our fellow kosmonauts this Black History Month. While every month should be an opportunity to celebrate African American history, February allows us to shine a spotlight on the traditions, history, and accomplishments that shape the rich culture. Are you ready to create a space for empathy and growth with us?  

Get Involved

  1. Attend Events: You can start educating yourself by attending events like the Black History Month Virtual Festival, Oklahoma Black Film Festival 2024, Grassrootz Black History Month Celebration, or The Melanin Roll.  
  1. Volunteer: You could volunteer your time and expertise at national organizations like Black Girls Code, PolicyLink, and 100 Black Men of America, or at local organizations like the Montana Black Collective, Progressive Massachusetts, and the Black Economic Council of Massachusetts.  
  1. Donate: If you don’t have the time to volunteer, you can donate at local charities like the OKC Black Justice Fund, Arizona Coalition for Change, GirlTrek, and Color of Change.
  1. Shop Black-Owned Businesses: While you have the freedom to support any locally black-owned business and dispensaries, you should also check out national businesses like The Honey Pot, Dope Coffee, Reel, and Fatburger.
  1. Read Black Literature: Finally, one of the most relaxing ways to get involved with Black History Month this year is to read literature from famous authors like Frederick Douglass, Maya Angeloyu, Octavia Butler, Tabitha Brown, Gary Phillips, and Vanessa Baden Kelly.
     

In the cannabis community, equality and justice matter, and Black History Month gives us a chance to spotlight individuals in our industry.
